Kuala Lumpur | Day 2
Today I used the morning to sleep in! After that I went to Chinatown to get myself one of these wrap-around-ultra-slim bags for my ID and so on. I had quite fun bargaining that thing down to 9 MYR from 999MYR 🙂
After that I went to the Petronas office to get myself some tickets, always essential to go early enough, because they are often sold out over days! As I arrived at the office a guy stood there and was asking if I want to buy his second ticket that he bought for a friend, the friend was apparently to sick to use his ticket! So much luck that I was the person he asked, all the tickets were sold out for two days! It was just last minute, so we had to rush into the 1,5-levels-per-second elevator. It turned even out he’s from Melbourne, really cool guy!
On the top of the towers I could enjoy an amazing view all over Kuala Lumpur, I really wouldn’t have thought how far the city spreads!
After that It rained really heavily, so I skipped my plan to go to the batu caves and got instead with Dale some lunch! We nearly tried the „stinking-fruit“, but it was way to expensive! So we ended up chilling & eating dragon fruit in dales nice backpackers! As the evening came closer we got some real food at the really nice food court at the central market! Not the street-flavour, but cheaper and better food around there! After that we went to the a temple and KL tower, i havent been on the top, but it was still impressive! In the evening we decided to meet up tomorrow for batu caves the next day and enjoyed the more than amazing panorama at the Petronas towers at night! Really amazing! Maybe the most fascinating buildings I’ve seen!
Funny how plans change if you are open for everything!;)
