Kuala Lumpur | Day 3
Today I had to start early because I wanted to meet up with Dale to visit the Batu Caves. The trip there was really cheap! 1 MYR (~0,30 AUD) for a 40 minute ride out of town, really cool!
As we arrived there we could already see the giant statue. As we entered the area it turned out that there were many temples and other statues around! It was quit impressive to see a statue that high!
The caves have even been more impressive! The way up the 300-anything stairs was spectacular enough, not just because of the amazing view, more likely because of the monkeys that just ran around freely! They have a good life there sneeking up to tourists and stealing stuff! I was quite impressed as one monkey grabbed a waterbottle, opened the lid with his hands and drank like a human!
Dale and me were sure that the guy giving a bad reputation on trip advisor must have been an idiot! Just the caves alone have been awesome!
After a nice coconut-refreshment-drink we drove back to grab some lunch, unbelievable that we just spent 6MYR (~1,70AUD, 1,40€) for the batu caves!
After a really nice lunch at the central market we had to say goodbye, preparing stuff ’n shit (sry, too long away from Agnes :D)
But before Dale left he gave me a possible job opportunity in Australia’s outback, and seems like they are really searching‘:) for the persons without work in Australia: I won’t tell you buggers, get your bloody asses up and look by yourself ;D!
In the evening I said goodbye to the Brazilian I met before and bought on one way my Kuala Lumpur – Butterworth (for Penang ferry) ticket for 40 MYR (13 AUD) in the second class sleeper, it was even the last available bed, niiiiice! And that’s where I’m basically writing from right now!
And my picture really changed of the Malaysians… Before I entered the train I met a crazy guy from the northern-Malaysian jungle, totally crazy but he tought me some malay!
In the train I met two other locals from Penang, really friendly and surprisingly really good English skills! Not like singapore’ians! 😀 but now I try to catch some sleep, long long day tomorrow in Georgetown/Penang 🙂
Really happy right now! 😉
